CR2 Shooting Solutions provides professional firearms education designed to build capable, responsible, and confident marksmen. Every course is built around developing a disciplined shot process, because consistent performance comes from consistent execution. Drawing on decades of military, instructional, and real world experience, our training helps shooters understand not only what to do, but why each decision matters. Whether your goal is hunting, competition, recreational shooting, or professional application, you’ll gain practical skills that transfer directly to the range and the field.
Our growing online training library covers every stage of the shooting process, from rifle setup and equipment selection to precision rifle marksmanship, scoped carbine employment, ballistics, wind reading, laser rangefinder employment, angled fire, low light shooting, night vision, and other advanced applications. Students will also find downloadable resources, training drills, and practical exercises designed to reinforce each lesson and build confidence through deliberate practice. As new techniques, equipment, and technologies emerge, our library will continue to expand with new courses and training resources.

"CR2’s classes are outstanding. I went from having very little long range shooting knowledge to being able to effectively engage targets at distance through proper shooting position and technique, learning about ballistics, and learning about the effect of wind. The instructors were great and it was an all around good time as well. Can’t wait to take a class with them again!"

Marksmanship 101

Marksmanship 101 is the foundation of the CR2 training curriculum, introducing the disciplined Shot Process that every successful marksman relies on. You’ll learn the principles behind consistent shot execution, rifle setup, and the techniques needed to build accuracy and confidence from the ground up. Whether you’re new to shooting or looking to strengthen your core skills, this course provides the framework for long term success on the range and in the field.

Angle Fire

Angle Fire teaches you how to maintain an effective Shot Process when engaging targets above or below your position. You’ll learn why gravity affects angled shots differently, how to apply angle compensation, use ballistic calculators and rangefinders correctly, and avoid the common mistakes that lead to misses in mountainous, urban, and elevated environments. Whether you’re hunting steep terrain, shooting from elevated structures, or refining your long range capabilities, this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to make accurate first round hits regardless of the angle.

Laser Rangefinder Employment

Laser Rangefinder Employment teaches you how to effectively use one of the most important tools in a modern marksman's kit. You'll learn the principles behind laser ranging technology, proper ranging techniques, angle compensation, target acquisition, and how to integrate accurate distance data into your Shot Process. Whether you're hunting, competing, or shooting recreationally, this course provides the knowledge and practical techniques needed to obtain reliable range information and make faster, more confident decisions before every shot.

Low Light Marksmanship

Low Light Marksmanship teaches you how to maintain an effective Shot Process when visibility is limited. You’ll learn how to effectively employ white light, night vision, and thermal systems, identify and engage targets in reduced visibility, and use target marking techniques to improve communication and coordination. Whether you’re hunting, training professionally, or expanding your capabilities after dark, this course will help you build the knowledge and confidence to operate effectively when the lights go out.

Drone Employment

Drone Employment teaches you how to effectively integrate small unmanned aircraft systems into your observation, reconnaissance, and decision making process. You’ll learn mission planning, airspace considerations, sensor employment, search techniques, target location, communication, and practical methods for using drones to gather information before, during, and after an operation or hunt.

Disclaimer: This course is not an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification course and does not prepare students for the FAA Part 107 knowledge exam.

Wind & Long Range Shooting

Wind & Long Range Shooting teaches you how to build reliable wind solutions while maintaining an effective Shot Process at extended distances. You’ll learn how to read terrain and environmental conditions, interpret mirage and natural wind indicators, account for changing wind values along the bullet’s flight path, and apply corrections using ballistic data and practical decision making. Whether you’re engaging steel at distance, competing, or hunting in challenging conditions, this course will help you develop the confidence to make consistent first round hits when the wind matters most.

Meet Your Instructor

I’m Christopher Roberts, founder of CR2 Shooting Solutions, retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class, and former Senior Instructor at the U.S. Army Sniper Course. For over a decade, I’ve trained military personnel, law enforcement officers, competitive shooters, hunters, and responsible armed citizens, helping them build confidence through a disciplined Shot Process rather than shortcuts or gimmicks.

My mission is simple: to build capable, responsible marksmen through practical, experience based instruction. Every course I teach is grounded in proven methods, real world application, and a commitment to helping you understand not just how to shoot, but why each decision matters.
